Potpourri (Project 2)

Greetings,

If you were at all wondering how to embed your video on Blogger with the ratio in tact (and in reasonable size), here is the method-

Before

After

Embed Code of Before

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/MI1mWroFImQ?rel=0" width="420"></iframe>

Embed Code of After

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="640" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/MI1mWroFImQ?rel=0" width="360"></iframe>

Key difference? The ratio of the embed match the general ratio of the original video itself. Rather than resize to fit the default 'embed', you have a more tallscreen look.

And to explain why my example scales down a little in the bigger box? My export from Photoshop had black bars on the side, as the .H264/Medium Quality export defaults at a max ratio export for some reason. But perfectly fine if yours end up like this. The embed is good looking anyway. :)

NOTE : Do you punch in the embed code on the 'Compose' section of your Blogger post. In the top left, below the Orange 'B', should be two buttons : Compose and HTML. Put embed code in HTML section, then switch right back to Compose to see the result.

.

Additionally, if you are looking for some more unique inspiration for this project, I have attached some fitting examples of animation to consider.

Kenneth Tin-Kin Hung, "Sustainable Obesity" : http://www.tinkin.com/arts/sustainable-obesity/
Tara Ahmadi, "Gut Theory" : http://www.taranajdahmadi.com/animations.html
PBS Art:21, "Time", Segment with Paul Pfeiffer JUMP TO 17:35
And a bonus, to help distinguish between "Eastern and Western" animation-
